2010 LEGISLATIVE PUBLIC POLICY PLATFORM

The Legislative Public Policy Platform is developed annually by the ICCMHC Policy Committee and approved by the Council Board of Directors and Membership at our annual meeting.  The platform provides the framework on the issues that will be advocated in the coming year in order to promote the policy and financial related needs of the membership, with the ultimate goal being improvement in the lives of the patients we serve. 

For the 2010 Legislative Session, the following areas identify the primary areas of advocacy on behalf of the Indiana Council:

1. Ensuring a continuity of services for patients until alternate funding sources have been established.
2. Improvement of the medicaid eligibility process.
3. Restoration of Community Mental Health Funding.
4. Primary and Behvioral Healthcare Integration.
